    Our client is in search of an experienced Accountant to handle full-set accounting responsibilities, including month-end closing, financial report preparation, taxation and etc.

    Job Description

    • Review and reconcile AP invoice discrepancies
    • Perform monthly bank reconciliation
    • Support procurement team on credit application request. 
    • Make monthly accruals and journal entries for payroll and other opex
    • Handles all payments to suppliers - Japanese knowledge required as the Japan bank template need to fill up in katakana.
    • Process AP invoices, 3 ways/2 ways matching, review purchase order etc.
    • Monitor AP Aging 
    • Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reporting pack
    • Estimate monthly cashflow needs/cash forecast to request funds from treasurer on a monthly basis
    • Assist in quarterly VAT/Consumption tax filling and annual audits
    • Generate AR billing and monthly statements to customers
    • Perform month end closing and reconciliations to General Ledger
    • To support annual tax filling
    • Calculate monthly cost plus to HQ in US
    • Raise manual AR and AP invoices to Inc for cost plus and interco funding
    • Transfer price check for billing from US to Japan
    • Intercompany reconciliation
    • Balance Sheet reconciliation
    • Update item standard cost and perform standard cost roll
    • Support annual statutory audit
    • Perform any other duties to be assigned by the reporting manager.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Finance, Accountancy or equivalent.
    • At least 5-7 Year(s) of relevant working experience in Full sets accounting.
    • Possess business proficiency in Japanese language, able to communicate with customers in Japan
    • Well verse in Microsoft excel and pivot tables 
    • Experience in Oracle/SAP.
    • Knowledge of concur software is an added advantage
    • Experience in addressing process weaknesses and able to drive process improvement.
    • Good interpersonal and communication skills to deal with internal stakeholders.
    • Knowledge of US GAAP, FRS and IFRS reporting requirements

    Job Description

    • Offer financial insights to commercial leaders based on comprehensive business understanding and analysis of order, backlog, and inventory data.
    • Collaborate with the sales team to drive operational excellence, ensuring accountability for delivering commitments.
    • Spearhead long-term profitable growth through strategic investments and initiatives.
    • Ensure timely implementation of price changes through cross-functional collaboration.
    • Contribute to sales territory and SIP design processes, ensuring sales quotas align with growth commitments.
    • Foster strong, results-oriented relationships across all levels of management.
    • Proactively plan calendars and arrange meetings to ensure high-quality financial deliverables for both division and region. Drive standardization in review formats and cadences to enhance efficiency.
    • Liaise with division and corporate finance teams to ensure accurate statutory and management financial reporting.
    • Facilitate meaningful discussions in various workstreams including Forecast, Annual Operating Plan, Quarterly and Monthly Business Reviews.
    • Maintain awareness of business dynamics including changes in funnel, open orders, and supply that may impact results.
    • Provide support for daily pricing analytics and escalation processes.
    • Manage Opex, capex, and working capital effectively.
    • Provide independent and professional financial guidance to the commercial team on control and compliance matters.
    • Educate the commercial team on financial policies, identifying red flags early and ensuring compliance.
    • Contribute to channel management processes and collaborate with the commercial excellence team to uphold channel compliance.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field. 
    • Over 7 years of experience in Financial Planning and Analysis.
    • Experiences in using financial competency to enhancing commercial strategy and performance   
    • Proficient in data analytics, possessing advanced Excel and Power BI skills.
