Essential Duties and Job Functions
· Provides oversight of study sites/region and reviews routine regulatory documents to ensure that CROs are in compliance with protocols, regulatory requirements, SOPs, and monitoring plans
· Provides oversight for the site evaluation, initiation, and close-out visits in addition to routine monitoring visits, either directly or through CROs
· Serves as the key operational contact for Taiwan of the assigned Gilead studies
· Collaborates with other functions (and vendors) on how to best achieve their study goals and objectives and communicates cross-functionally to ensure project team goals are met, in partnership with global study team
· Participates in and manages project meetings and conference calls with CROs, other vendors and cross-functional teams
· Provides inputs to the review of relevant documents including protocols, informed consents, case report forms, study plans and presentations
· Leads or otherwise assists in the preparation of safety, interim and final study reports, including attending DM meeting, coordinating the review of data listing, and resolving any data discrepancies
· Proactively identifies potential operational challenges and collaborates with other Clinical Operations’ colleagues to provide solutions to ensure study execution remains on track to defined protocols, budgets and timelines
· Partners with global study team and CRO to troubleshoot country/site specific operational issues
· Establishes good relationship with key institutions and key opinion leaders (KOLs) in Taiwan
· Provides guidance and training to team member, CROs, vendors, investigational sites on study requirements
· Contributes to development of study budget and ensures effectiveness of site budget/contract process in Taiwan
· May be required to present at internal or external meetings (i.e., investigator meetings)

Knowledge, Experience and Skills
- For Clinical Trials Manager, the candidate must have a BS or BA in a relevant scientific discipline. Master degree is a preferred.
- Have 5+ years solid site monitoring experience and must have oncology study monitoring experience in Taiwan. Project management experience is a plus.
- Well versed in clinical trial processes and requirements in Taiwan.
- Prior experience in working in pharmaceuticals is preferred
- Thorough knowledge of Regulatory Regulations, ICH Guidelines, and GCP governing the conduct of clinical studies
- Advanced project management skills adequate to manage the entire process of a clinical trial
- Ability to identify and mitigate project risks and manage issues identified
- Demonstrated ability to be flexible and adaptable to change, to move between projects easily and provide support/expertise where needed
- Advanced knowledge of study management best practices and tools and has shown ability to apply these to improve study efficiencies and effectiveness
- Ability to work independently with minimal oversight
- Ability to support a team-oriented, highly-matrixed environment.
- Excellent teamwork, communication, decision-making and organizational skills are required
- Working knowledge and experience with Word, PowerPoint and Excel
- Must have excellent communication skills in English
- International and domestic travel is required, when needed
