    Job Description

    Demand Planning

    • Collaborates with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver an accurate, robust and timely
    • 18-month rolling sales forecast taking into consideration of new launches, product promotions, marketing, sales and phase-in/out plans
    • Ensures demand planning software tool is correctly configured, updated, maintained, accurate and available for use by key users and top management for decision making
    • Prepares consensual demand plan in accordance with the Asia and activities
    • Performs data cleansing on historical data
    • Generates statistical forecast to be used as baseline forecast
    • Conducts Marketing Intelligence gathering session to gather collaborative input from

    Sales & Marketing

    • Prepares data and reports to support the Demand Review & Financial Gap-Fill
    • Meeting packages and thereafter send to the meeting packages to the participants of these two meetings
    • Drives the Demand Review and Financial Gap-Fill review
    • Ensures that significant within-the-month forecast changes are communicated
    • Conducts Root Cause Analysis for forecast failure and identify corrective actions
    • Implements Best Practices as part of continuous improvement

    Supply Planning

    • Produces robust business replenishment supply plans to support sales forecasts, which satisfy customer service objectives whilst minimizing inventory-carrying costs
    • Builds high quality relationships with suppliers and customer service to fully understand the whole supply chain allowing an improvement in customer service and end-to-end inventory optimization
    • Identifies key demand / supply imbalance, evaluates options and proposes solutions
    • Optimizes stock holding levels within the total supply chain through a detailed understanding of the key planning parameters and end-to-end process (lead times, MOQ/EOQ, supply reliability, demand variability, service objectives etc.) and in line with Working Capital targets
    • Works closely with suppliers, freight forwarders, 3PL vendors and regulatory function to ensure timely shipment and delivery of supplies for sales and exceeds customer service level target
    • Responsible for the issuance and transmittal of Approved Purchase Order and coordination with suppliers for timely supply replenishment

    Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP)

    • Drives the local Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process by working across internal and external functional areas to assure that demand, supply and financial plans are aligned and that proper communication regarding significant current/potential supply performance problems (schedule unfeasibility or non-adherence, material or capacity imbalances, excess/shortage inventory, etc.) are communicated to the appropriate stakeholders in a timely manner for mitigation consensus
    • Implements Best Practices as part of continuous improvement

    Warehousing & Distribution (W&D) Logistics Provider Management

    • Manages the W&D Contract Logistics provider to ensure that warehousing & distribution services are provided to support the business as per contract. Chairs monthly operational and KPI review to drive continuous improvements and manage spending of W&D
    • Liaises with the provider with regards to annual stock take, cycle count and disposal of write off stocks

    Vendor Management

    • Manages the freight-forwarders, contract manufacturing supplier(s) and other external vendors to support the business as per contract.
    • Negotiates with the vendors on pricing, delivery and other contract terms in order to obtain the best price and products/services in accordance to requirements
    • Manages the value-add services and activities including costs management, liaising with vendors and W&D logistics provider on stock movements when necessary

    New Product Introduction (NPI)

    • Ensures new products are in the demand plan with the appropriate lead-time
    • Works closely with Rollout function to ensure timely launches according to project plan
    • Liaises with Marketing, Regulatory and other stakeholders to ensure all requirements are coordinated for pack introductions/changes
    • Works with the production suppliers or customer service to ensure that the optimal acceptable MOQ, shipment mode, lead time, correct unit costs are in place
    • Manages stock level for new products launch and discontinuations – phase ins/phase outs
    • Conducts post-mortem for every NPI and documents lessons learnt to avoid recurrences

    Distributor Order Fulfillment and Processing

    • Responsible for the accurate and timely order and debit processing and invoicing of the distributor

    Cost Reduction

    • Continually monitors and evaluates overall supply chain costs spend against Operating
    • Plan (OP). Take immediate corrective actions when necessary to rein in costs overrun
    • Continually identifies cost reduction opportunities and recommend realistic time-bound actionable initiatives to materialize the opportunities and drive the implementation of the initiatives

    Continuous Process Improvement

    • Supports the ongoing process to identify the strengths and weaknesses of current work flow and processes and continually looks for opportunities to streamline and improve on an operational level to enhance internal/external customer relationship and business excellence
    • Reviews and renews contracts as needed to address business requirements to allow for improved operations, reduced costs and simplified administration

    Requirements

    • At least 5 years of relevant operational working experience. Broad supply chain background in a pharmaceutical or consumer goods environment preferred
    • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in supply chain, engineering, mathematics, operations management or business management required
    • Active participant in a formal Sales & Operations Planning process
    • APICS / CPIM or equivalent supply chain professional certification
    • Strong numerate analytics, problem solving and negotiation skills
    • Ability to plan and prioritize own workload and effectively make decisions
    • Possesses costs management and reduction culture mentality
