    A leading European based pharmaceutical company is seeking a General Counsel (Head of Legal) to join the team. You will be responsible for legal and compliance support for all aspects of the company’s APAC businesses and providing legal advice and guidance on all matters relating to the businesses and operations in countries within the APAC region, including contracts, transactions, regulatory matters and corporate governance matters.

    Job Description

    • Providing advice to the business on legal and compliance issues
    • Drafting, reviewing and negotiating distributor, sale and purchase agreements and other contracts.
    • Advising on disputes, claims and litigation.
    • Advising on pharmaceutical and medical device industry issues such as product registration, and promotional and advertising practices
    • Reviewing changes in legislation that may affect the business
    • Evaluating and assessing current processes to identify compliance gaps and effective solutions.
    • Engage with other members of the Legal department and outside counsel, compliance, finance and other functional areas as necessary to support all of the above.
    • Mitigates risk by following established procedures, spotting key errors and demonstrating strong ethical behaviour.

    Job Description

    • Ensure regulatory compliance aspects of our business (fund management, investment holding, Fund structures) - key MAS regulatory considerations, including SFA, CDSA, TSOFA;
    • Analyse, monitor regulatory developments and implement measures in an effective way as applicable;
    • Ensure that appropriate and necessary compliance systems, policies, practices, procedures and culture are in place;
    • Manage records and files keeping for MAS submission and other regulatory requirements;
    • Handle general corporate and regulatory matters, corporate governance and compliance functions;
    • Oversee KYC/AML, FATCA/CRS and other investor onboarding requirements;

    Job Description

    • Lead a team of procurement, outsourcing, vendor management and office services professionals
    • Subject matter expert in outsourcing and vendor governance arena, particularly with vendor risk and control, ideally in financial institution/industry.
