    Assistant Vice President - Corporate Communications

    Working with an established insurance company and finding candidate to fulfil the role of an assistant vice president and competent individual contributor for the Group Corporate Communications team – who will be an effective communicator across with experience and able to manage with little supervision, key deliverables within the disciplines of External & Internal Communications. In charge of managing social responsibility activities, and content development for Corporate Annual Report & others as required.

    Job Description

    The External Communications component comprises:

    Stakeholder Management/ PR Planning & Content/ Media management

    • Take charge and oversee end-to-end execution of PR strategies and editorial/ media influencer programmes including messaging, pitching, briefing, facilitation and management of engagements that are in line of the company’s brand direction, and supporting internal stakeholder training necessary
    • Self-manage work with necessary internal stakeholders & Business Units to mine thought leadership, news opportunities PR narratives to build profile of company in key areas/ themes
    • Provide feedbacks to internal business stakeholders and cross-functionally with Marketing & other departments for integrated outcomes, supporting SEA markets when required
    • Raise awareness/ understanding of topics in a timely fashion by conceptualising developing & writing a strong pipeline compelling content proactively for amplification
    • Develop, own media relationships with key news/ lifestyle media as relevant influencers such as in FSI vertical & consumer lifestyle press, & relevant financial websites
    • Ability to partner well with PR agency and other vendors to ensure positive outcomes aligned to communications objectives
    • Have a good understanding of the business, with a strong desire to learn, as well as processes to navigate complexity for the function
    • Regional communications management experience is a bonus
    • Experience in marketing and advertising channels

    Issue Management

    • Provide comms support in operational issues management, for crisis communications preparedness, covering areas which include social media/ online, working with necessary stakeholders to mitigate negative or sensitive internal or external reputational issues
    • Able to recommend & craft appropriate positions and communications for this purpose and work with urgency with head of team

    Internal Communications

    • Formulating internal communications strategies/ messaging and drive execution of key deliverables such as newsletters, speeches for senior management across channels, editorial for in-house newsletters and employee/ agency communications
    • Understand the nuances of organizational culture to facilitate effective communication and management

    Corporate Social Responsibility

    • Understanding basic CSR principles, to effectively work with potential partners and plan/ execute engagement strategy, with relevant causes
    • Able to work with partners, vendors, PR agency & team to leverage media publicity opportunities to build positive reputational positioning for the company aligned with company mission/ social impact
    • Where necessary, organize and execute internal events aimed at promoting our CSR objectives to inspire employee volunteerism, and internal communications to drive support

    Collaterals/ Events

    • Project management oversight for Brand Collateral & Annual Report production, and media events where required
    • Consider business and regulatory compliance risks and take appropriate steps to mitigate the risks
    • Maintain awareness of industry trends on regulatory compliance, emerging threats and technologies in order to understand the risk and better safeguard the company

    Requirements

    • Degree holder, preferably a degree in mass communications
    • Strong individual & independent contributor with 10-12 years of relevant external/ internal communications experience in both multinationals/ large local listed companies.
    • Core communications & excellent writing skills is a must to complement understanding of integrated communications/ marketing universe.     • B2B/ B2C experience, preferably from the FSI industry but not crucial, with some regional experience working with SEAsian markets.

    Working with an established company to find sales advisory and competency officer to drive and implement the risk management and compliance requirements for Regional Agency/ FA & Bancassurance and the representatives, by effectively supporting the business units in their duty to comply with relevant laws and regulations.

    Job Description

    • Work with relevant departments and agency force to ensure that the Training & Competency (T&C) requirements of the Agency Management Guidelines are executed perfectly
    • Spontaneous in answering agency queries on quality of advice and appropriate recommendation
    • Conduct briefing on T&C requirements during product launches and training workshops
